Kerben (Kyrgyz: Кербен) is a town in Jalal-Abad Region, located about 120 km west of Jalal-Abad city near the Uzbekistan border. It is the administrative centre of Aksy District. The population is about 25,000. The town lies in the Ferghana Valley foothills, an agricultural area known for tobacco, cotton, and orchards.
The climate is continental: hot summers (30-35°C) and cool winters (-5 to -10°C). Spring and autumn are the best visiting seasons.
