Kaskelen

Kaskelen is a town in Almaty Region, 20 km west of Almaty along the A-2 highway. It has grown rapidly as a suburb of Almaty. The town sits at the foothills of the Tian Shan and is known for its apple orchards and the nearby Kaskelen Gorge.
