Otegen Batyr

Otegen Batyr (formerly known as Ilyich) is an urban-type settlement in Almaty Region, located just east of Almaty International Airport. It is named after the Kazakh warrior Otegen Batyr and forms part of the Almaty metropolitan area. The settlement has grown substantially with new housing developments.
