Pesaro Pesaro is a city in Marche .

Pesaro is served by Pesaro railway station on the Adriatic railway line, with frequent regional trains from Ancona, Rimini, and Bologna. By car, take the A14 motorway to the Pesaro-Urbino exit. The nearest airports are Ancona-Falconara (60 km) and Rimini (45 km).

Pesaro is known as the "Cycling City" with an extensive network of bicycle paths. The historic center is compact and walkable. Local buses connect the train station, beachfront, and surrounding neighborhoods. Taxis are available at the train station.

Attend the Rossini Opera Festival, held every summer in honor of the city's most famous son. Relax on the sandy beaches along the Adriatic coast or cycle along the seaside promenade. Visit the Villa Imperiale, a suburban Renaissance palace with frescoed rooms and gardens overlooking the sea. The city also hosts a film festival, the Mostra Internazionale del Nuovo Cinema.

Pesaro offers excellent seafood restaurants along the waterfront and traditional trattorias in the old town. Local specialties include brodetto di pesce (fish stew), olive all'ascolana (stuffed fried olives), and passatelli in brodo. Many restaurants serve fresh Adriatic fish paired with local Verdicchio wine.

Pesaro has a lively aperitivo scene along the seafront and in Piazza del Popolo, the main square. Local wines from the Marche region include Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, Rosso Conero, and Sangiovese. Cocktail bars and wine bars are concentrated around the historic center.
