Why visit Nof HaGalil?

Nof HaGalil (Hebrew: נוף הגליל, "View of the Galilee", formerly Upper Nazareth / Natzrat Ilit) is a city in the Northern District of Israel, situated on the hills adjacent to and overlooking Nazareth. Founded in 1957 as a development town, it was originally intended as a Jewish counterpart to Arab Nazareth. With a population of approximately 42,000, it has become increasingly diverse, with a growing Arab population alongside Jewish residents.

The city is primarily residential and serves as a bedroom community for workers commuting to Nazareth, Afula, and Haifa. Its hilltop location provides panoramic views of the Jezreel Valley, Mount Tabor, and the surrounding Galilee landscape. The climate is Mediterranean with warm summers and mild winters.
