Lance aux Epines
Saint George, Grenada
Why visit Lance aux Epines?
Lance aux Epines is a small coastal community on the southern tip of the St George parish in Grenada, situated on a narrow peninsula that juts into the Caribbean Sea. The name, French for "Thorn Point," reflects the colonial heritage of the island. The area is known for its quiet residential character, upscale villas, and proximity to some of Grenada's best diving sites. Unlike the bustling Grand Anse strip to the north, Lance aux Epines offers a more secluded, upmarket atmosphere.
The peninsula is surrounded by sheltered bays and coral reefs, making it popular with boaters and divers. Several small marinas and boat charter companies operate from the area. The terrain is relatively flat compared to the hilly interior of Grenada, with tropical vegetation and well-maintained gardens around the residential properties.
