Mount Moritz

Mount Moritz is a hillside community in St George parish, Grenada, situated above the coast between St George's and the Grand Anse area. The area offers elevated views over the Caribbean Sea and is a quiet residential neighbourhood with a mix of local homes and some expatriate residences. Mount Moritz has no significant tourist infrastructure but its convenient location between the capital and the beach makes it a practical base.

The terrain is steep with winding roads through tropical vegetation. The community has a peaceful atmosphere and cooler temperatures than the coastal lowlands due to its elevation.

By Plane

Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) is approximately 6 km southwest. The drive takes about 15 minutes. Taxis cost around EC$45-55 (US$17-20).

By Car / Road

Accessed via steep hillside roads from the main coast road. Minibuses serve the coast road below. A taxi is recommended for the hillside roads.

Walking within the community, though steep. Minibuses on the coast road for connections to St George's and Grand Anse.
