Grand Mal

Saint George, Grenada

Why visit Grand Mal?

Grand Mal is a small fishing village on the western coast of St George parish in Grenada, located along the road between St George's town and the Point Salines peninsula. The village sits at the base of steep hillsides and has a working harbour with colourful fishing boats. Grand Mal has an authentic, unspoiled character — it's a real Grenadian community rather than a tourist destination, offering a glimpse of traditional island life.

The village is known locally for its fresh fish market, where fishermen sell their daily catch. The surrounding hills are lush with tropical vegetation, and the road through the village offers dramatic coastal scenery. Grand Mal Bay is sheltered from the Atlantic trade winds, making it a natural anchorage.
