Dumbea

Dumbéa is a suburban commune immediately north of Nouméa on Grande Terre, forming part of the greater urban area of New Caledonia's capital. It lies along the Dumbéa River and is a gateway to the Parc Provincial de la Dumbéa, a popular natural area for hiking and swimming.

Dumbéa is a 15-minute drive from central Nouméa via Route Territoriale 1 or the Voie Express. Public buses from Nouméa serve the commune regularly. It is easily reached by taxi or rental car.
