About Oyo

Oyo is a town in southern Cuvette department, situated on the RN2 highway approximately 160 km south of Owando. The town is the hometown of President Denis Sassou Nguesso and has benefited from significant government investment, with paved roads, a hospital, and a modest hotel. It is the best-connected town in the department.

By Car / Road

Oyo is on the paved RN2 highway, 160 km south of Owando (3 hours) and 200 km north of Brazzaville (3.5 hours). Shared taxis and buses pass through regularly.
