About Binzhou
Binzhou (滨州; Bīnzhōu) is a prefecture-level city in northern Shandong Province, located on the northern bank of the Yellow River delta near the Bohai Sea coast. It is a growing industrial and agricultural centre, historically known for its salt production and as the birthplace of Sun Tzu (Sunzi), the legendary ancient Chinese military strategist who authored "The Art of War." The city offers several sites related to Sun Tzu, as well as extensive wetlands along the Yellow River and Bohai coast that attract migratory birds. The climate is temperate monsoon with cold, dry winters and warm, rainy summers. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit.
