Talachyn

Talachyn (Талачын) is a small town of about 10,000 people in Viciebskaja voblasć, located on the highway between Orsha and Minsk. First mentioned in the 15th century, it was a market town with a notable 19th-century manor house and park. The manor, known as the "Talachyn Manor" or "Zdrvyazh", was once owned by the Lubomirski family. The town has a quiet, agricultural character. The climate is continental: warm summers (17–23°C) and cold winters (−5 to −10°C).

Minsk National Airport (MSQ) is about 160 km southwest. Vitebsk Airport (VTB) is about 120 km north.

By Train

Talachyn has a railway station on the Minsk–Moscow line, with trains from Minsk (2.5 hr, BYN 6–10) and Orsha.

By Car / Road

From Minsk, take the M1/E30 east — about 160 km (1.5 hr). Road is excellent. Buses from Minsk run 3–4 times daily (2.5 hr, BYN 9).

The town is walkable.
