Hamala

Ash Shamālīyah, Bahrain

Why visit Hamala?

Hamala is a village in the Northern Governorate of Bahrain, located in the agricultural belt west of Manama. It is a residential community with a mix of traditional Bahraini houses and newer suburban development, surrounded by date-palm groves and small farms. Hamala's character is shaped by its peaceful, rural setting and its proximity to the main highway network, which makes it accessible to Manama and other towns.

The village has a small but active community with a local mosque, shops, and services. While it has no major tourist attractions of its own, its location makes it a convenient base for exploring the archaeological and cultural sites of the Northern Governorate. The best time to visit is during the cooler months from November to March.
