Karzakan

Karzakan is a small village in the Northern Governorate of Bahrain, located in the agricultural belt northwest of Hamad Town. It is a traditional settlement with date-palm groves, small farms, and a quiet residential character. Like many villages in the northern governorate, Karzakan offers a glimpse of rural Bahraini life that has largely disappeared from the more urbanised parts of the island.

The village has no tourist infrastructure but rewards visitors interested in authentic local life. Its setting among the farms and groves of the northern belt provides a green and peaceful environment, especially in the winter months. The best time to visit is from November to March.

Bahrain International Airport (BAH IATA) is approximately 30 km northeast of Karzakan, about a 30-minute drive. A taxi from the airport costs around BD 8–10.

Karzakan is accessible via local roads connecting the Budaiya Highway to the interior villages. It is about 30 minutes from Manama and 10 minutes from Hamad Town.

Karzakan is walkable. A car is needed for reaching other villages.
