Why visit Nuran?

Nuran is a village in Ağsu Rayon in central Azerbaijan, situated on the agricultural lowlands south of the Greater Caucasus foothills. It is a small farming community where residents grow grain, cotton, and tend livestock. The village has a quiet, rural character.

The terrain is gently undulating with irrigated farmland. The climate is moderate continental: warm summers (27–33 °C), cool winters (0–6 °C). Spring and autumn are the best seasons.

Nuran has no tourist facilities and is relevant to those exploring rural central Azerbaijan.

How do you get there?

By Plane

The nearest airport is Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) in Baku, approximately 175 km east. A taxi from Baku costs 40–55 AZN (2.5 hours).

By Train

No railway station. The nearest is in Kurdamir (25 km north). From Kurdamir, take transport to Ağsu, then to Nuran.

By Car / Road

From Baku, take the M2 to Kurdamir (150 km), then south to Ağsu (30 km), then local roads to Nuran (approximately 8 km from Ağsu). From Ganja, about 135 km (2 hours).

Walk. No local transport. Taxi from Ağsu.
