Vung Liem (Vietnamese: Vũng Liêm) is a ward (phường) in Vĩnh Long Province, located in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam. The ward covers an area of 4.72 km² and had a population of approximately 6,934 as of 1999. In June 2025, the administrative boundaries were reorganized: the former Vũng Liêm Township was merged with Trung Thành and Trung Hiếu communes to form a new administrative unit, later renamed Vũng Liêm Ward in June 2026. Vung Liem sits along the Mang Thit River, a tributary of the Mekong system, and is surrounded by rice paddies and fruit orchards.
The climate is tropical monsoon, with a dry season from November to April and a rainy season from May to October. The best time to visit is during the dry season when the weather is most favourable.

By Plane
The nearest airport is Can Tho International Airport (VCA), about 50 km south-west. A taxi to Vung Liem costs approximately 400,000–500,000 dong.
By Car / Road
Vung Liem is located on National Highway 53, about 30 km south of Vĩnh Long city and 15 km north of Trà Vinh. Regular buses from Vĩnh Long's bus terminals serve Vung Liem.
The ward centre is walkable. Motorbike taxis (xe ôm) are available for trips to outlying hamlets. Local buses connect Vung Liem to neighbouring districts.
