Thanh Binh
Đồng Tháp, Viet Nam
Why visit Thanh Binh?
Thanh Binh is a rural district in southern Dong Thap province, situated along the southern bank of the Tien River. The district is predominantly agricultural, with rice paddies, fruit orchards, and vegetable farming forming the backbone of the local economy. Its location along the Tien River makes it a productive area for aquaculture as well as agriculture.
The climate follows the Mekong Delta monsoon pattern: dry from December to April and rainy from May to November. The flood season (August-November) brings water to the low-lying fields, while the dry season offers sunny weather ideal for travel.
The district centre is a small market town, and the surrounding area consists of farming communities accessed by rural roads and canals.
