Why visit Long Khanh?
Long Khanh is a town in Đồng Nai province, located about 60 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City and roughly halfway between Bien Hoa and Đà Lạt along National Highway 20. It serves as a commercial centre for the surrounding agricultural region, which is known for fruit orchards, coffee plantations, and rubber estates.
The area was developed during the French colonial period as a centre for rubber production, with vast plantations established by French companies. Long Khanh later became a district town and was upgraded to a town status in 2019. Today it retains a relaxed, provincial atmosphere while serving as a transit stop for travellers heading to the Central Highlands.
Long Khanh has a tropical monsoon climate with a dry season from November to April and a rainy season from May to October. Temperatures average 26–34°C year-round, with slightly cooler weather during the winter months.
