Why visit Enid?

Enid is the county seat of Garfield County in northwestern Oklahoma, located in the Red Carpet Country region. With a population of approximately 47,000 (2000 census), it is the largest city in northwestern Oklahoma. The city is home to Vance Air Force Base, which has been operational since 1941 and remains a significant economic driver. Enid's downtown features historic buildings and a revitalized cultural scene. The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center preserves the history of the great land runs that shaped the region.

Climate is semi-arid with hot summers (average highs around 95°F / 35°C) and cold winters (average highs around 47°F / 8°C). Spring can bring severe weather, including tornadoes. Fall is the most pleasant season for visiting, with mild temperatures and clear skies.
