Sarayduzu

Saraydüzü is a district town in Sinop Province, about 80 km south of Sinop city in the Black Sea hinterland. With a population of around 4,000, it is a small agricultural settlement in a forested valley. The local economy is based on livestock farming and forestry. The town has a quiet, traditional character, with a few basic shops and services clustered around the central square.

The climate is transitional between humid Black Sea and continental, with warm summers and cold, rainy winters. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit. The surrounding forests offer walking opportunities and fresh air.

Sinop Airport (ICQ, 90 km north) with flights from Istanbul.

By Train

No railway. The nearest station is in Kastamonu (100 km west).

By Car / Road

Saraydüzü is connected by local road to Sinop (1.5 hr) and Boyabat (30 min). Limited minibus service from Boyabat.

The town is small and easily walkable. A private vehicle is needed to explore the surrounding countryside.
