Turkeli

Türkeli is a district town on the Black Sea coast in Sinop Province, about 80 km west of Sinop city. With a population of around 7,000, it is a small fishing and agricultural town with a beach and relaxed seaside atmosphere. The surrounding area is forested, and the local economy is based on fishing, agriculture, and forestry.

The climate is humid subtropical. The summer months are the best time to visit for beach activities. Türkeli has a quiet, unhurried pace of life.

Sinop Airport (ICQ, 90 km east) or Kastamonu Airport (KFS, 110 km west).

By Car / Road

Türkeli is on the D010 coastal highway between Sinop and Kastamonu. Minibuses connect to Sinop (1.5 hr) and Ayancık (25 min).

The town is small and walkable. The beach and harbour are within walking distance of the centre.
