Why visit Sarikum?

Sarıkum is a small coastal village and nature reserve in Sinop Province, about 15 km west of Sinop city. It is known for Sarıkum Beach, a long sandy beach backed by the Sarıkum Nature Reserve, a protected area of dunes and lake. It is a popular weekend getaway for Sinop residents.

The climate is humid subtropical. The best time to visit is June to September.

Sinop Airport (ICQ, 20 km east).

By Car / Road

Sarıkum is on the D010 coastal highway, 15 minutes from Sinop. Minibuses from Sinop run frequently.

The village is walkable. The beach and nature reserve are easily accessible on foot.
