Why visit Jinshan?

Jinshan (金山) is a coastal district in New Taipei City, Taiwan, known for its hot springs, the historic Jinshan Old Street, and the Jinshan Wetlands along the coast. It is a popular day-trip destination from Taipei for its seafood and hot spring resorts.

The climate is humid subtropical. October to March are the best months.

How do you get there?

By Plane

Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA) is about 30 km south. A taxi takes about 40 minutes and costs around NT$800–1,000.

By Car / Road

Jinshan is accessible via Provincial Highway 2 (the coastal highway). From Taipei, drive north for about 40 minutes. Buses from Taipei Main Station serve Jinshan.

The old street and coastal areas are walkable. A car or scooter is useful for reaching hot spring resorts.
