The nearest airport is Bacău International Airport (BCM), about 90 km to the southeast.
By Train
The nearest railway station is at Piatra Neamț (about 15 km away), with connections to Bacău and Bucharest. From there, local buses or taxis serve Agapia.
By Car / Road
Agapia is accessible via county roads from Piatra Neamț (approximately 15 km west). The drive through the scenic Moldavian hills takes about 25 minutes.
The commune is best explored by car or on foot. The four villages are spread out, so a vehicle is useful for visiting both monasteries.

Agapia Monastery – a 17th-century convent known for its beautiful interior frescoes painted by Nicolae Grigorescu, one of Romania's most famous painters. Văratec Monastery – the largest nunnery in Romania, founded in 1785, set in a scenic valley. The surrounding landscape of the Moldavian Subcarpathians is itself a major attraction.
