Cerrito
Ñeembucú, Paraguay
Why visit Cerrito?
Cerrito is a small town and the gateway to Cerro Cerrito National Park, a protected area in northern Ñeembucú department. The park centres on a 180-metre hill (Cerro Cerrito), the highest point in the otherwise flat Ñeembucú wetlands, offering panoramic views of the surrounding marshlands and the Paraná River. The area is a haven for birdlife and waterfowl. The climate is subtropical; the dry season (May–September) provides the best conditions for hiking and wildlife viewing.
