Paso Bravo National Park

Concepción, Paraguay

Why visit Paso Bravo National Park?

Paso Bravo National Park is a protected area in north-eastern Concepción department, near the border with Amambay and Brazil. Established in 2023 as part of Paraguay's efforts to expand its protected-area network, it covers roughly 113,000 hectares of cerrado, dry forest, and wetland ecosystems. The park protects critical habitat for jaguars, giant armadillos, maned wolves, and a rich diversity of bird species. It is remote and undeveloped, with no visitor facilities inside the park boundaries. The best time to visit is the dry season (May–September), when access roads are passable and wildlife congregates around water sources.
