Ngerubseang

Melekeok, Palau

Why visit Ngerubseang?

Ngerubseang is a small inland village in Melekeok State, set among the forested hills east of Lake Ngardok. It is one of the traditional hamlets that make up the interior of Melekeok, linked to the main village by ancient pathways and a network of unpaved roads. The village is surrounded by dense secondary forest and agricultural plots where taro, bananas, and breadfruit are cultivated for family consumption.

Ngerubseang has no commercial services and sees virtually no tourists. Its appeal lies in its peacefulness and the chance to experience a part of Palau that is entirely disconnected from the tourism economy.
