Misau is a town in central Bauchi State, the headquarters of Misau LGA and the seat of the Misau Emirate. It is situated on the Misau River and is an agricultural centre, particularly known for the Maladumba Lake, a natural lake that supports irrigation and fishing in the area.

The climate is tropical with a rainy season from June to September. The dry season (November–April) is the best time to visit.
