Naseby is a small historic town in the Maniototo region of Central Otago, located approximately 60 km north of Alexandra. It is one of New Zealand's best-preserved gold rush towns, with many 19th-century wooden buildings.

Naseby was founded during the 1860s Central Otago gold rush and once had a population of several thousand. Today it is a quiet village known for its heritage architecture, the Naseby Forest mountain bike trails, and curling in winter. The town has a cold climate with regular frost and snow in winter.

The nearest major airports are Queenstown (ZQN), approximately 150 km west, and Dunedin (DUD), approximately 120 km south-east.

By Car / Road

Naseby is off State Highway 85, about a 45-minute drive from Alexandra via Ranfurly.
