About Mese

Mese is a township in eastern Kayah State, located on the Thai border. It is a remote border area with primarily Karenni communities. The area is very restricted for foreign visitors.

The climate is tropical monsoon, with the best weather from November to February.

How to reach

Access is from Loikaw by road (120+ km). Permits from Myanmar immigration are essential. The Thai border crossing has limited facilities.
