Manhica is a town in Maputo Province, located on the Incomati River north-east of Maputo City. It is a rural service centre with a population of around 20,000. Manhica is known for the Manhica Health Research Centre, an important medical research facility studying malaria and HIV. The surrounding area is agricultural, with sugar cane and rice farming along the Incomati River floodplain.

Maputo International Airport (MPM) is 70 km south. The drive takes about 1 hour.

Manhica is on the EN1 highway, 70 km north-east of Maputo. Buses and chapas (minibus taxis) run frequently from Maputo's main bus terminal.

Manhica is walkable in the town centre. Taxis are limited.
