Catembe

Catembe is a residential and tourism district on the southern shore of Maputo Bay, directly across from the Maputo city centre. It is accessible by a regular ferry service from Maputo's downtown jetty, making it a popular weekend escape for residents and visitors alike. Catembe has a relaxed, village-like atmosphere with palm-fringed beaches, seafood restaurants, and a growing number of hotels and lodges. The area is quieter and greener than central Maputo.
