Njivice

Njivice is a small, quiet coastal village located on the Luštica Peninsula, directly opposite the town of Herceg Novi across the entrance to the Bay of Kotor. Known for its sunny disposition and excellent water quality, Njivice offers a peaceful and secluded retreat. The village features beautiful pebble beaches and offers stunning, unobstructed views of the Herceg Novi Old Town and the majestic Orjen mountain range.

Njivice is reached via a local road branching off the main highway near the Croatian border (Debeli Brijeg). It is about a 7 km drive from Herceg Novi. There is no direct public bus, so visitors arrive by car, taxi, or by taking a taxi boat from Herceg Novi.

The village is very small and steep in parts, making walking the main way to get around. The coastal path is flat and runs along the beaches.

The main attraction is the stunning panoramic view of Herceg Novi and the entrance to the Bay of Kotor. The surrounding olive groves and natural Mediterranean vegetation are also beautiful.

Swim and sunbathe on the clean pebble and sand beaches, including the popular Iberostar beach. Take a taxi boat across the bay to Herceg Novi for sightseeing. Hike in the quiet hills of the Luštica Peninsula.

A few beachfront restaurants and hotel dining rooms serve fresh seafood, Mediterranean salads, and grilled meats with beautiful sea views.

Beach bars and hotel lounges offer drinks, cocktails, and coffee right by the water. The nightlife is exceptionally quiet.

Accommodation is centered around the large Iberostar Bellevue resort, alongside a selection of private holiday apartments and villas offering sea views.

There are no major shops in Njivice, only a small convenience store for basic items. For shopping, supermarkets, and services, visitors travel to nearby Igalo or Herceg Novi.

From Njivice, you can take a short drive to the Croatian border (4 km away), take a taxi boat to Herceg Novi or Igalo, or explore the wild beaches of the Luštica Peninsula.
