Why visit?

Rivière du Rempart is a district in northern Mauritius, stretching from the coast at Grand Gaube and Cap Malheureux inland to the central plateau. The district includes some of the island's most scenic coastal areas, with headlands, coves, and the famous Cathedral Rock at Cap Malheureux. The area is primarily agricultural inland, with sugarcane fields and residential villages, while the coast offers quiet beaches and coastal views.

When is the best time to visit?

May to November is the best time, with dry, sunny weather. The north coast is less windy than the east coast. December to April brings higher humidity and possible cyclones.
