Timbedra

Timbedra is a Sahelian market town in the south of Hodh ech Chargui, close to the Malian border. It serves the surrounding pastoral and agricultural zone, with millet and sorghum farming and livestock herding forming the economic base. The population includes Moorish, Fulani, and Songhai communities. Timbedra is a quiet, traditional settlement that sees very few international visitors but offers a genuine experience of rural Mauritanian life.
