Amourj

Amourj is a market town in the south of Hodh ech Chargui region, located on or near the RN3 highway corridor between Néma and Aioun el Atrouss. It is a centre for the livestock trade, with cattle, goats, and sheep from the surrounding pastoral zone passing through its weekly market. The population is a mix of Moorish and Fulani communities. Amourj serves as a supply and service stop for travellers on the eastern RN3 route.
