Why visit Pasir Gudang?

Pasir Gudang (Jawi: ڤاسير ݢودڠ) is a major industrial city in southeastern Johor, about 35 km east of Johor Bahru, situated along the Strait of Johor. It is the principal port and industrial hub of Johor, home to the Johor Port (one of Malaysia's busiest container ports), extensive petrochemical and oil palm processing plants, and the Tanjung Langsat industrial complex.

Despite its industrial character, Pasir Gudang has several recreational attractions. The city is the site of the Johor Circuit (formerly known as Pasir Gudang International Kart Circuit), a motorsports venue that hosts national and international karting championships. The city also has a coastal waterfront (Pasir Gudang Waterfront), a public beach, and the sprawling 1.5 km Tanjung Puteri Resort area. The population is a mix of industrial workers, port employees, and their families. Most accommodation is functional, catering to business travellers.
