Al-Dhulayl is a desert town on the highway east of Amman, serving as a gateway to the eastern badia (desert). The town is a crossroads for traffic heading to Iraq and Saudi Arabia, with fuel stations and rest facilities.

The climate is arid: extremely hot summers (38–42 °C) and cold winters (0–10 °C). The landscape is flat desert with scattered settlements.

By Plane

Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) is 60 km southwest (45 min).

By Car / Road

Al-Dhulayl is on the highway to Iraq, 60 km east of Amman (45 min). No regular public transport.

The town is small and walkable. A car is essential for further desert travel.
