About Darab

Darab (داراب) is a historic city in southeastern Fārs Province, about 240 km southeast of Shiraz. It is known for the Darabgard ancient circular city and the Sassanid rock relief of Darab-e Nader.

The climate is hot semi-arid.

The town serves as a quiet base for exploring the surrounding region, with its own charms including traditional architecture, local bazaars, and the warm hospitality of its residents. Visitors who take the time to explore beyond the main thoroughfares will discover a side of Iran that few international travellers see — authentic, unhurried, and deeply rooted in centuries of tradition.
