Why visit Cirebon?
Cirebon is a port city on the north coast of West Java, historically an important trading center and the seat of the Cirebon Sultanate. Its culture is a unique blend of Javanese, Sundanese, Chinese, Arabic, and Dutch influences, reflected in its architecture, batik, and cuisine. The city is known for its three royal palaces (keraton), distinctive batik patterns (Mega Mendung — cloud motif), and the iconic nasi jamblang dish. Cirebon is also a gateway to the mystical Mount Ciremai.
