About Rewa
Rewa is a city in northeastern Madhya Pradesh with a rich history and cultural significance. Founded by Baghel Rajputs around 1400 AD, it became the capital of the Rewa princely state in 1597 and later of the British Baghelkhand Agency and Vindhya Pradesh (1948–1956). The city is famously known as the "Land of White Tigers" — the first white tiger was discovered here in 1951 by Maharaja Martand Singh. Rewa is also home to the world's largest solar power plant and is developing as an industrial hub.
The climate is subtropical, with hot summers (March–June, up to 42°C), a monsoon season (June–September), and pleasant winters (October–March, 10–25°C). The best time to visit is October to March.
