Vendome

Vendome is a small community in St George parish, Grenada, located on the hillside above the southwest coast. Named after the French city, the area reflects Grenada's French colonial period. Vendome is a quiet residential neighbourhood with no tourist infrastructure, situated on the volcanic slopes with views over the Caribbean Sea.

The area has a mix of local homes and agricultural land, with cocoa, nutmeg, and banana cultivation on the surrounding slopes. The roads are narrow and steep, winding through lush tropical vegetation.

Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) is approximately 6 km southwest. The drive takes about 15 minutes. Taxis cost around EC$45-55 (US$17-20).

Accessed via hillside roads from the coast. Minibuses serve the coast road below; a taxi is needed for the hillside approach.
