True Blue
Saint George, Grenada
Why visit True Blue?
True Blue is a coastal neighborhood situated on the southwestern tip of Saint George Parish in Grenada, occupying the eastern shore of the Point Salines peninsula. The area centers on the main campus of St. George's University (SGU), an international medical and veterinary school founded here in 1976. The university community brings together students, medical faculty, and researchers from more than 140 countries, giving True Blue an international residential atmosphere distinct from neighboring fishing settlements.
The neighborhood borders True Blue Bay, a sheltered inlet featuring calm waters, private moorings, and a boutique marina. Commercial development along University Drive and True Blue Main Road caters to students and travelers, offering open-air food courts, scuba diving operators, water sports docks, and waterfront dining. Situated 2 kilometres north of Maurice Bishop International Airport and 4 kilometres south of Grand Anse, True Blue serves as a practical base for exploring the southern coast of Grenada.
The local climate is tropical marine, with daily temperatures averaging 28°C to 31°C (82°F to 88°F) throughout the year. Constant northeast trade winds bring cooling sea breezes across the bay and ridges, moderating midday heat.
