Santrokofi
Oti, Ghana
Why visit Santrokofi?
Santrokofi is a traditional Guan-speaking area in the Oti Region, one of four communities — alongside Akpafu, Likpe, and Lolobi (together known as the "SALL" enclave) — that today make up Guan District, with its capital at Likpe Mate. The area was part of Volta Region until the Oti Region was created in 2019. Rice farming has long been central to local life, including a heritage variety of red-skinned grain and sticky white rice.
