Dangila

Dangila is a market town in the Amara Region of north-western Ethiopia, situated on the highway between Bahir Dar and the Sudan border at Metema. It serves the surrounding highland farming communities as a centre for trade in grain, cattle, and honey. The town has a moderate highland climate and a quiet, rural character.

Dangila is on the road from Bahir Dar (80 km east, 1.5 hours) to Metema (100 km west, 2 hours). Buses from Bahir Dar to Metema pass through daily.
