Nzambi

Kouilou, Congo

Why visit Nzambi?

Nzambi is a small interior village in eastern Kouilou department, situated near the boundary with Niari. The village is a quiet farming community surrounded by a mosaic of secondary forest and savanna. The population lives by subsistence agriculture — cassava, maize, and groundnuts — and small-scale trading.

The climate is tropical with a dry season (June–September) and a rainy season (October–May). The unpaved access road becomes difficult during the rains. Temperatures range from 22°C to 32°C (72–90°F).
