Mbuye is a small commune in southern Muramvya Province, Burundi, situated on the central plateau at roughly 1,750 m elevation. It is a rural agricultural settlement surrounded by the characteristic terraced hills of central Burundi, planted with coffee, bananas, beans, and sweet potatoes. Mbuye has no tourist infrastructure and sees very few visitors.

The climate is mild year-round. The best time to visit is during the dry season from June to August.

The nearest airport is Bujumbura International Airport (BJM IATA), about 50 km south-west.

By Car / Road

Mbuye is accessible by unpaved road from Muramvya town (10 km south). Motorcycle taxi costs FBu 1,500–3,000.
