Seronga

Seronga is a village in the North West District of Botswana, located on the eastern bank of the Okavango River in the Panhandle region. It is a rural settlement with a population engaged in fishing, farming, and tourism-related work. Seronga is the gateway to the northern Okavango Delta's remote safari camps, accessible by boat from the village. The area is known for its pristine waterways, abundant birdlife, and traditional Bayei culture.

The nearest airstrip is in Shakawe, approximately 40 km north-west. Charter flights from Maun can land at Seronga's airstrip.

Seronga is accessible via unpaved roads from the Maun–Shakawe highway. A 4x4 vehicle is required.

Walkable. Boats are the primary mode of transport for reaching delta camps.

Seronga has a few basic lodges. Remote delta camps are accessible by boat.
