Alvand

Alvand is a small village in the Zərdab District of central Azerbaijan, located on the Kura River plain about 20 km north of Zardab town. It is a traditional agricultural settlement whose economy is based on cotton and grain cultivation. The village is characteristic of the rural communities of the Shirvan plain.

The climate is semi-arid with hot summers and mild winters. Spring and autumn are the best visiting seasons.

Alvand is a quiet rural village with no tourist facilities.

The nearest major airport is Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) in Baku, about 120 km east (2 hours by car).

By Car / Road

Alvand is about 20 km north of Zardab, accessible via local roads from the M2 highway. A taxi from Zardab costs 10–15 AZN.

The village is walkable.
