Alvand is a small village in the Zərdab District of central Azerbaijan, located on the Kura River plain about 20 km north of Zardab town. It is a traditional agricultural settlement whose economy is based on cotton and grain cultivation. The village is characteristic of the rural communities of the Shirvan plain.

The climate is semi-arid with hot summers and mild winters. Spring and autumn are the best visiting seasons.

Alvand is about 20 km north of Zardab, accessible via local roads from the M2 highway. A taxi from Zardab costs 10–15 AZN.
