Zabux

Zabux is a village in the Laçın District of south-western Azerbaijan, in the Lesser Caucasus mountains near the Hakari River. The district was under Armenian control from 1992 until Azerbaijan regained full sovereignty over it in August 2022, following the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War ceasefire and the later closure of the "Lachin corridor," and was heavily depopulated during that period. Zabux is one of the first villages rebuilt and repopulated under Azerbaijan's "Great Return" resettlement program, alongside Laçın city, Talış, and Sus; the photo on this page shows the village after 2024 restoration work. As a young resettlement community, it has no verified guesthouses, restaurants, or other visitor-facing businesses as of this writing.

Accessible by road from Lachin. Laçın is part of Azerbaijan's formerly occupied territories: as of July 2025, foreign visitors need an entry permit, obtainable in advance via the official "Yolumuz Qarabağa" portal, or arranged automatically when booking an officially accredited hotel.
